Bridging the Gap

Reina’s Hope is the bridge. 

As girls and young women age out of the orphanage system in Mexico, they are often just turned out onto the streets. Without a full education, family support, or sufficient personal resources, they find themselves fighting to survive. Many become stuck in poverty, abusive relationships, or turn to prostitution. Some are forced to turn their own babies over to the same orphanages from which they escaped when they are unable to care for them, continuing the cycle of abandonment. 

REINA'S HOPE bridges this gap. As a transitional home, we provide the resources: professional counseling and mentoring, educational opportunities, and spiritual and family support these women need. With education and job-skills training they are able to prepare themselves to enter the workforce. With spiritual and emotional support they begin to understand their value and worth. Living in a family environment, they learn healthy boundaries and how to care for themselves and others. Through the Reina's Hope programs, they are empowered and equipped to support themselves and thrive for the rest of their lives.
