Well Almost, But Not Yet!

Hello dear friends and family. Celeste here again.

We are in Chiapas as I write. Living in the unexpected seems to be the way we all live our lives these days. It’s not just living in Mexico. It sure seems life is more precarious than “usual.”

I keep reminding myself that we are in God’s hands and in His timing. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like feeling unsettled and walking in the unknown. I KNOW He wants us settled in Him, not in world circumstances. It has been work for me to settle myself down, breathe through the tightness in my chest and getting my mind focused on what He wants, where He is instead of all the “What If’s."

We returned to Chiapas on February 17th, hoping to finally be able to move into our little casita. But no! Patience, Celeste and Michael!! Walking through electrical, water and gas hookups as well as numerous other details. But we were so blessed and ministered to by a father/ son team,. Ryan and Noah Hennigan, who came down from Washington to help with whatever was needed. Well, Ryan just happened to be someone who specializes in finishing the details of construction projects. Ryan and son re-hung all of our “off” doors, put up curtain rods and numerous other details! Perfectionists, and a huge blessing to have these things corrected and finished. And a special opportunity for us to spend time with these precious men.

We also welcomed our spunky Missions’ Pastor, Cami Wittwer and Marlene Behne to the ranch on a support trip and to prepare for teams to come in the future. Who knew Pastor Cami loves cows; as a good Nebraska girl should. She had them all literally eating out of her hand. She said this is the first time she has pastored more in the pasture than to people. Not true! She spoke into our lives and heart of vision for this generation. The enemy has confusion and disaster for them -BUT GOD! He has called them His! That is our mission to give these young women a place to grow, be mentored and taught of the Lord, and to become who He has called them to be. Talk about encouraging amidst a lot of feeling frustrated with the “NOT YET”! Our time with Cami and Marlene was just what we needed.

We spent a full day with a new architect who really gets our vision for the next casita which will house our first young ladies. Just as they have in the states, the prices of lumber and steel have skyrocketed here in Mexico. So we are trying to get to a “right” working price to start this new construction. Thank you all for getting us there! We need to bump up our construction budget substantially by another $60,000. But not worried, God has it!

We are moving ahead! Thank you all for standing with us, praying over us, giving to this vision and being willing to come down and participate on any level! We love hosting family!
