Hello Friend,

All of a sudden, our lives are about to change in some radical ways... again! God does not work quickly, but He works "All of a Sudden" (credit: Dr. Mike Beals). What an awesome experience it is to witness God’s amazing plan play out. We have seen God’s divine guidance at each step of this journey.

This week, we interviewed three viable candidates as our first residents who were recommended to us by Estefania and through her contacts.

Abril was our first—a rather shy 14-year-old. But after a few minutes, we got to see her sweet smile and a bit more of her personality. She was brought to tears as she shared with us how she had gone to court to become emancipated from her parents who had sexually trafficked her from an early age.

Flori is a firecracker of a 16-year-old. She has a tragic history of sexual abuse by a family member from as early as three years old, but now has a feisty spirit to survive. She loves art and has ambitions to become a lawyer. I think she has what it takes to make that happen. Perhaps we can be a part of her recovery and success.

Fatima was our third encounter. She was also a bit shy, but so very respectful and grateful for the opportunity to experience what Reina’s Hope has to offer her. She and Estefania have worked together in the past. Similarly, she was rescued from being sex-trafficked by family members from an early age and is now working to recover from that abuse.

Please be praying for us as we consider these three, and two others next week, for their suitability for the particular requirements and opportunities that this program has to offer. Frankly, it’s going to be difficult to refuse any of these girls if they are willing to do the work and become part of the Reina’s Hope family.
